Boost Brain Power & Avoid The Fog.

Banish Brain Fog

Do you feel sluggish, struggle to concentrate, worry that you’re not as focused as you feel you should be?   Many factors can contribute to these symptoms, but with some simple strategies and a focus on nutrition, you can clear the fog and feel alert, energised, and at your best.

Understanding the Causes

Inflammation is thought to be a key factor in these symptoms, often referred to as “brain fog”.

Inflammation is a vital and natural defence mechanism within our bodies – a temporary response that plays a pivotal role in safeguarding us against infections, injuries, and other external threats. When you cut yourself, inflammation is your bodies response to help with the healing process, protecting the affected area from any more harm.

As well as protecting us inflammation can also cause damage when lifestyle factors such as poor diet, stress, lack of exercise and inadequate sleep cause low-grade, long-term inflammation – referred to as chronic inflammation.  This is when inflammation can gradually damage healthy tissues and organs, leading to a host of health issues, including brain fog.

The good news is that you can do something about it!

Diet Focus

One of the most effective things you can do to improve brain fog is focusing on diet.  The following foods can support your body to manage inflammation.

  • Fatty Fish: The omega-3 fatty acids found in fish like salmon, mackerel, and sardines are known for their anti-inflammatory properties. Plant sources of omega-3 include nuts walnuts, chia seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds.

  • Leafy Greens: Spinach, kale, romaine lettuce, watercress, cabbage are rich in vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals that fight inflammation.
